In 1969, Wallace Harris—known affectionately in the pool world as "BB"—founded Harris Pool Plasters with a vision to create a business rooted in professionalism, punctuality, cleanliness, and a commitment to mastering the craft of pool service. BB prioritized education for his children while instilling values of professionalism, punctuality, and craftsmanship, creating the foundation for a thriving family business

As the business grew, so did the involvement of BB's family. Michael Harris, one of BB’s 18 children—including seven brothers and ten sisters—was raised in the business from a young age. He has never held another job, dedicating his life entirely to continuing his father’s vision. Alongside his siblings, Michael learned the ins and outs of the business, from on-the-job training to managing office responsibilities like bookkeeping and organizing. This collective family effort is why the company name evolved to H&H Pools in 1979, reflecting the unity and dedication of the Harris family rather than simply "Harris and Son."

In 1989,  after graduating from College, Michael took over the business, renaming it H&H Pool-Finishers to better represent its refined focus on craftsmanship and excellence. That same year, he introduced the motto “Simply the Best”, a philosophy that has guided the company ever since. Michael’s unwavering commitment to perfection, combined with decades of experience, has solidified H&H Pool-Finishers as a trusted name in South Florida’s pool service industry.
